For the music festival of John Coltrane which took place at the Garage Museum in Moscow Walera produced a light sculpture depicting saxophone player Coltrane.

Walera exhibited his light installation called “Misterium Cosmographicum”, inspired by ideas of the medieval philosopher John Kepler. The LED units for the installation were provided by Vladimir Grigorik, Walera’s cousin, collector of Walera’s art works and a founder GVA lighting company in Toronto, Canada.

Walera met Mr Koh, collector, architect and philanthropist during Singapore Stage Art fair. As far as the collector was a classical music lover he commissioned to Walera a number of classical composers portraits, in Walera’s unique,
Modern-Archimboldo style, combining botanical and geometrical elements.

Walera was invited by Mickey Barton to exhibit his 4 large compositions at the Pink Floyd “The Wall” concert.

Collaboration with the collector Mickey Barton resulted with Walera’s solo exhibition at the MTV award in Madrid.

3. Vlissingen City Gallery, Holland, 1994

Walera Martynchik and Alex Rodin-two artists from Belarusian Non-Conformist movement opened their duo exhibition in Vlissingen, Holland.

2. Gallery Basmajian, Paris, 1992 and 1994

During his exhibition at the Basmajian Gallery Walera met the American collector and philanthropist Norton Dodge who purchased Walera’s two large compositions. They are now in the Zimmerli Museum permanent collection. New Jersey, USA.

1. Red Square Gallery, London, 1990

The very first Walera’s exhibition on the West. Francis Bacon attended the Red Square gallery show and invited Walera for dinner. The restaurant was booked, friends have arrived but because of luck of English Walera lost his way in London and couldn’t make it.
